My wife and I often share the Gourmet Dinner for Two at Oriental Palace, a Chinese food restaurant in Invermere BC. The Gourmet Dinner allows us to choose between two main course dishes which are accompanied by chicken fried rice and a choice of springs rolls or wonton soup. We chose the Pork Fried Noodle and the Palace Style Chicken.
The Pork Fried Noodle is a exactly what it sounds like, Shanghai noodles and small strips of pork with sauce and some bok suey mixed in. The taste is a mix of bitter and sweet that is very appealing. Even though the Pork Fried Noodle is marked as spicy on the menu, it is actually pretty tame in my opinion. I always ask for it to be extra spicy, which Oriental Palace is happy to do, and tastes great.
